About
The word means first principles. Newton used it for the work that derived the laws of motion. We use it because we believe the same discipline applies to a business: every company that compounds over time is built on a small set of principles, applied without exception. The work of a strategy consultant is not to import a framework. It is to help the owner identify the principles their business operates by, design the systems that carry them, and tune the machine over time.
Why we exist
The businesses with the most to gain from modern technology and disciplined strategy are the ones least likely to have access to either. A small business owner does not have a strategy department or a technology team. They have a company to run, customers to serve, and a finite number of hours in the week.
The consulting industry prices for enterprise. The technology vendors sell tools, not outcomes. Between the two, the owner of a small business is left to make consequential decisions about strategy and technology with no independent, trusted voice in the room. That is the gap Principia was built to fill.
A few principles
We tell you the truth, even when it is uncomfortable. The owner deserves a direct read on what is working and what is not before the money is spent.
Most consulting prescribes too quickly. A correct diagnosis of the root cause is worth more than ten plausible solutions.
Get the system right first. Improve it over time. Quick fixes are not the work. The businesses that grow well are the ones that build something worth maintaining.
Technology, including AI, is selected to support a clear strategy. A software subscription is not a plan. An AI tool without a diagnosis is not a strategy. A vendor relationship is not a partnership.
We are direct about what falls within our core and what does not. When deeper specialization is required, we refer to the right partner and remain the client's single point of accountability.
Everything we build is owned by the business. No lock-in, no dependency. When the engagement closes, the systems and the institutional knowledge go with the client.
Weston is a founding partner at Principia. He spent the early part of his career at Ernst & Young, advising Fortune 500 and global enterprise clients on third-party risk transformation across cybersecurity, financial, ESG, and operational domains. The work gave him direct exposure to how large enterprises approach technology and risk decisions at scale.
He left that world to operate inside a small business, joining Walker Reid Strategies as Director of Business Development. There, he built an AI-enabled go-to-market system from the ground up. The system applied generative AI across the full sales motion: lead research and enrichment, qualification scoring, proposal drafting, and CRM automation. The result was $100K per month in incremental revenue and a practitioner's understanding of where AI produces measurable outcomes for smaller businesses, and where it does not. He also served as a key operator in the firm's 2025 merger with Blue Energy Group.
At Principia, Weston brings both perspectives to the table: the Big 4 strategist and the operator who has run a P&L.

Adam is a founding partner at Principia, with a decade of experience in business development, go-to-market strategy, and client success. He has guided small businesses across regenerative medicine, automotive, and state-regulated consumer products, with particular depth in managing inventory and supply chain operations for highly regulated goods where compliance, traceability, and operational discipline are non-negotiable.
More recently, he has moved deeper into AI-driven technology, applying these tools to build smarter CRM systems, cleaner workflows, and more effective go-to-market strategies. His sales experience spans the full cycle: prospecting and lead generation, pipeline management, closing, and the post-sale relationship that drives repeat business and referrals. He brings a strong working knowledge of sales pipeline development, strategic marketing, brand positioning, and customer acquisition for small businesses operating in competitive and compliance-heavy markets.
At Principia, Adam focuses on sales strategy, practical technology, and marketing that help businesses grow with discipline.
